"If this house could talk, what stories it could tell you. A past that spans generations, decades and eras.  Of it's stories, families, life and daily struggles, all of which is forgotten this morning as it snows outside and I am cozy as the heat and glow of logs burning softly in the fire place.  There is a feeling felt by many others before me of feeling at home, safe and secure.  I want very much to return.  It was exactly everything I envisioned."  ~ Mr. Kern, January 30, 2010

"Perfect Spot!  Perfect Time & Snow to Boot!  Will be back!"  ~ Mrs. Oz, January 30, 2010

"I found Stevenson Ridge to be like stepping back in time gracefully and yet being forward in time graciously! The blending of period restoration with modern conveniences is outstanding without being obvious. The setting is peaceful and well maintained to look authentic. The innkeepers and staff make you feel very welcome and are extremely accommodating to the guests and their requests. I can see that it would be a perfect place for a family reunion, a business retreat, or a romantic getaway! Stevenson Ridge is truly a welcome additon to Spotsylvania and its historical beauty." ~ Nancy Bowles, January 28, 2010

"Had a 40th birthday party for my wife and 60 friends in addition 20 of them stayed the night on site. Great place everything work out very well, everyone was very helpful. Plan to go back very soon!!!" ~ Jason Moore, January 28, 2010

"I went to visit Stevenson Ridge as a possible wedding venue for my April wedding, and as soon as I pulled up to the Riddick House I fell in love! It is everything my fiancee and I were looking for- there's a pond, it's surrounded by woods, and there's plenty of room for an outdoor ceremony...Mr. Spear happened to be on-site and gave us a tour of the building and grounds, and after contacting Jennifer, who is in charge of event coordinating, everything has gone very smoothly... I can't wait for my wedding, I know it's going to be absolutely beautiful and better than I could have imagined! Thanks to everyone at Stevenson Ridge for being so great and making the process much easier than I thought it would be!"  ~ Taylor Clark, December 18, 2010
